Clara L’Heureux-Garcia is a French Canadian cuban director based in Montreal. 
Driven by a strong visual language and a deep emotional connection to her 
subjects, she crafts immersive and thought-provoking narratives. Her work in 
fiction and documentary has been showcased at prestigious international 
festivals such as RIDM, FNC, the Dresden Film Festival, and RVCQ. She has 
collaborated with many talented artists, including Marie Davidson, Kee Avil, Klô 
Pelgag, Stéphanie Boulay, and Emma Beko. 
Beyond directing, Clara has extensive experience as a producer and assistant 
director, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the creative and technical 
aspects of filmmaking. Her versatility allows her to balance artistic ambition with 
production demands, making her a filmmaker who thrives on both vision and 
precision. She is currently developing her next short film, La Llamada—a familial 
drama exploring the delicate identity of second-generation immigrants—with Le 
Foyer Film. 
 
Clara is also a proud 1st Assistant Director and a member of both IATSE/AQTIS 514 and the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC).
